DECREE 21/2025/NĐ-CP AMENDING ARTICLE 9 OF DECREE 26/2023/NĐ-CP ON EXPORT TARIFFS AND PREFERENTIAL IMPORT TARIFFS

On February 10, 2025, the Government issued Decree 21/2025/NĐ-CP (“Decree 21”) amending Article 9 of Decree 26/2023/NĐ-CP on Export Tariffs, Preferential Import Tariffs, List of Goods and Absolute Tax, Mixed Tax, and Out-of-Quota Import Tariffs.

Decree 21 provides for a 0% preferential import tax rate for raw materials, supplies, and components that are not yet produced domestically, for the production and processing (assembly) of prioritized support products for the automobile manufacturing and assembly industry (automotive support products) until December 31, 2027 (while the provisions in Decree 26/2023/NĐ-CP only extend until December 31, 2024). Enterprises that registered to participate in the Program before Decree 21/2025/NĐ-CP takes effect do not need to re-register and will still enjoy the new incentives.

Decree 21/2025/NĐ-CP takes effect from February 10, 2025.
